A new addition to the Rytons team!

It’s always exciting to see a new face join us at Rytons, as we continue to grow as a company and fulfill the increasing recruitment needs of the British construction industry.

The latest addition to our fabulous group of recruitment specialists is the former owner of a very successful commercial cleaning business which covered the whole South West of England for over 15 years.

Before deciding to take some time out to be a full time Mum, Kate Marshall ran a company which specialised in builders cleans, office and domestic cleaning.

Some exciting projects she was involved in included the Life Sciences building, which was built by Vinci and owned by Bristol University, the new Airbus offices and the new police headquarters in Exeter.

The company also employed staff at the Bristol County Courts, Bristol Zoo and Ministry of Defence, with clients including some major blue chip companies within the construction sector, such as Vinci Construction, Willmott Dixon and Bray and Slaughter.

Being a fundamental part of the all-important end product, each of the projects she took on demanded a top notch and timely clean after build completion, in order to make it perfect for a handover to the new owners.

As company director, her operational responsibilities involved working with highly efficient teams of up to 50 staff, maintaining the existing client base and building new relationships with clients, while meeting the highest standards of cleaning by the required deadlines.

Kate sold the business in September 2014 to have a baby boy. And, after spending two years with her son, she decided to continue to make a great contribution to the construction industry with a move into the recruitment side.

As such, we are pleased to announce she has accepted a new and exciting challenge to join Rytons as one of our recruitment consultants and will be concentrating on the main contractor sector in the South West.

Kate said: “The construction industry is one that I have always enjoyed working in, because there’s so much exciting activity going on, which means that no two days are ever the same. It’s the opportunity to be part of some great developments and see how they can go from nothing to something very special indeed.

I am very much looking forward to discovering and recruiting some talented construction industry professionals to match up perfectly with our clients and fill the kind of roles that help make all of this happen.”
